Why Mobile Eats
One live map of Missoula's food trucks. See what's open right now, not where a truck was supposed to be last week.
No more hunting through disappearing stories or refreshing five pages to find lunch. Owners post their stop once. We turn it into one place you can actually look.
Every truck carries a "last seen" stamp and a freshness tier you can read at a glance. When the data gets too old to trust, the app says so and points you to nearby alternatives. We never fake a location.
You can browse without an account. Your first two saved trucks stay on your device — no sign-up, no email. When you add a photo, it comes from your phone's own picker — you choose each one, and we never watch your camera or mic in the background. We never hand your email or phone to ad platforms.
Saves work whether or not you make an account, and every prompt has a one-tap "Maybe later." There are no countdown timers and no fake urgency anywhere in the app.
For owners, the price is plain before you ever tap to pay: $19/month per truck, cancel anytime in one tap, full refund within 7 days. The paid upgrade stays hidden until you've posted five stops and seen it work for free. It never interrupts you while you post.
A directory only matters if the people in it own it. Locals can confirm a sighting, add a truck that's missing, and flag what's stale. Helpful additions earn points, streaks, and badges — but only for actions the community accepts. Public truth never changes silently behind your back.
We're Joshua Nowak and Chanel Basolo — two locals who run our own businesses and wanted an easier way to find and support the food trucks around town. Montanans love going for a drive, so why not combine the two: pick a truck, take the scenic way there. Chanel grew up in Missoula and runs Clutter Free Spaces; Joshua's newer here, runs ZestStream, and builds tools with AI. We know how much truck owners put on the line, because we're business owners too — so we built the thing we wished existed and a friendlier way to help each other out. It's live, it's free, and we want it to belong to the city.
